Emcor Qualified Seismic Enclosures
Emcor seismic qualified enclosures are designed specifically to protect your equipment during seismic
events. To be seismically qualified, an enclosure must meet or exceed the Bellcore NEBS Zone 4 testing objectives and
requirements. Emcor has qualified three styles of enclosures to Telcordia GR-63 CORE Physical Protection.
Medium Duty Seismic Enclosures
The medium duty system utilizes the same frame as the light duty system with additional back-up welds
and frame gussets. Each frame requires two (2) 1/4” thick tie down brackets. This test assembly was equipped the same
as the light duty unit except for the front being open without a door. This design qualified at a 680 pound load distribution
level with the center of gravity at approximately 30”. For more information, please

Note
Emcor has tested and qualified various single bay cabinet designs to the Telecordia GR-63-CORE,
Zone 4 seismic specification. Modifications made to the tested cabinet configuration, its weight load distribution, the accessories utilized or the integration
of frames into multiple cabinet bays may affect performance. A formal test report, load distribution criteria and engineering
assistance is available by contacting Emcor direct.
